Saskatchewan’s Seniors Care Provider

Providence Place is a quality long-term care facility that includes a geriatric assessment unit and an adult day program with our focus on elder care. Established in 1995, Providence Place has grown into one of Saskatchewan’s top care facilities. Currently, there are 160 long-term care beds, as well as 14 beds in the Geriatric Assessment Rehabilitation Unit.

We provide care to 159 long-term care residents in single, individual rooms. This includes support with mobility, bathing, dressing, feeding, elimination, and other activities of daily living.

The SHA (formerly Five Hills Health Region) provides a single point-of-entry to all Long Term Care facilities within the former Five Hills Health Region, which includes Providence Place. Volunteer with Providence Place

We love our volunteers. They are an essential part of the Providence Place community. They enhance the lives of our residents and clients and provide assistance to staff when needed. Volunteers at Providence Place function in many capacities, including:

  • Attending the Gift Shop
  • Socializing with our community at the Maguire Centre
  • Assisting our Pastoral Care department
  • Assisting our Rehabilitation Team
  • Participating in onsite and offsite recreation
  • Assisting with Clerical work
  • Working in the Homesteader Room
  • Manning the canteen cart
  • Assisting with scheduling and making appointments
  • Visiting our residents and providing them with valuable social opportunities
  • Being a part of our pool programs
